Questions you should ask the person who put your braces on:

1. Are you registered as a specialist in Orthodontics or just General Dentistry?
2. How many years have you been straightening teeth?
3. How many patients have you treated with braces?
4. Do you display before and after photos of patients they have actually treated?
5. If you are being treated by a general dentist, was the option of a specialist offered?
6. What is the total treatment fee? (This should include an initial examination, treatment planning, inserting the braces, straightening the teeth, removing the braces and finally at least 2 years of follow-up care in retainers.)
7. Do you charge extra for clear braces?
8. Do you provide a school pickup and dropoff service in the Nowra area ?
9. Do you offer complementary tooth whitening when you get your braces off without an extra fee?
10. Is the person putting your braces on up to date with the latest technology such as TAD's and the use of Laser treatment for soft tissue issues.
11. 11. What insurance rebate will I get if I am treated by a General Dentist rather than an Orthodontic specialist?
